Priority 6 – Post ROSC Care Bundle
For patients where resuscitation results in ROSC, a number of specific care interventions should take place to maximise the effectiveness of NWAS delivery of care. Where a clinician records in the EPR that ROSC has been achieved, through either:
- Cardiac arrest tile – ‘ROSC present at handover’ = YES, or
- Cardiac arrest tile – ‘Time of first ROSC’
The bundle becomes active and is visible at the top of the screen.
This is a six-step bundle of care that includes:
- Record a 12-lead ECG post-ROSC
- Record a blood sugar (BM)
- Record ETCo2
- Record administration of oxygen
- Record Blood Pressure post-ROSC
- Record administration of any IV fluids
